Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using programonic.com (the “site”), you agree to these Terms and Conditions and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. If you use it for an organization, you confirm you may accept these terms for it.
What Programonic provides
Programonic is a free, early-stage learning project offering programming tutorials, examples, references, quizzes, practice, roadmaps, and online tools, including code editors, online compilers for several languages, and a browser-based HTML, CSS, and JavaScript playground. The site is provided for education. We may add, change, or remove any content or feature at any time.
Eligibility
You may use the site if you can lawfully do so where you live. If you are under the age of majority where you live, please use it with a parent or guardian’s permission. There are no accounts, so you do not need to register to use any part of the site.
Acceptable use
You agree to use Programonic responsibly and lawfully. You must not:
- run or submit malware, exploits, or code intended to damage, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to any system, network, or data;
- use the compilers to attack or scan other systems, mine cryptocurrency, send spam, or make excessive network or resource demands;
- try to escape the execution limits, read the server’s files or secrets, or interfere with other people’s runs;
- overload, probe, or disrupt the site, or bypass its rate limits or security measures;
- scrape the site in bulk, or copy it in a way that harms the project or misleads others;
- submit content you do not have the right to use, or that is unlawful, harmful, or infringes anyone’s rights.
Online tools and code execution
The online compilers send your code and input to a server (ours or an execution service we configure) to be compiled and run. Runs have limits on time, memory, output, and file size, and network access may be restricted. Programs may be stopped without notice if they exceed them or appear abusive.
Because code runs on shared infrastructure, do not submit passwords, personal data, or confidential material. We do not promise that any run is private, that results will be identical to running the code on your own machine, or that any language or tool will be available, up to date, or error-free.
Your code, input, and output
You are responsible for the code and input you submit and for what you do with the output. You confirm that you have the right to use what you submit. We do not claim ownership of your code. You give us only the limited permission needed to process it in order to run it and show you the result.
Educational content and accuracy
Lessons, examples, references, quizzes, and generated output are for learning. We work to keep them accurate, but they may contain errors or become outdated, and they are not professional advice. Review and test any code before using it in a real project, and do not rely on it where failure could cause harm, loss, or security problems.
Intellectual property
The Programonic name, logo, design, and the original lessons, text, and code examples we write belong to Programonic or its contributors and are protected by applicable law. You may read them, run the examples, and use short excerpts for your own learning and for non-commercial teaching with attribution. You may not republish or sell large parts of the site, or use the Programonic name or branding in a way that suggests we endorse you, without our written permission.
Open-source and third-party software
Programonic is built with open-source and third-party software, such as web frameworks, the code editor, and language compilers and runtimes. Those components remain under their own licenses, which continue to apply to them. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under those licenses.
Third-party links and services
The site links to and relies on services we do not control, such as a content delivery network, hosting, and code-execution and email providers. We are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices, and your use of any external site is at your own risk and subject to its own terms. If advertising is shown, we are not responsible for the ads or the advertisers’ products, and you should not rely on them as our endorsement.
Availability and changes
We try to keep the site available, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free service. We may pause, limit, or end any part of it for maintenance, security, capacity, or any other reason, and we are not liable for any resulting inconvenience or loss.
Security and abuse
If you find a security problem, please tell us at contact@programonic.com instead of exploiting it or sharing it publicly, and give us a reasonable chance to fix it. Good-faith reports are welcome. We may block access, apply stricter limits, or remove content to protect the site and its users, and we may share information with the appropriate authorities when the law requires or allows it.
Disclaimers
The site and everything on it are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, reliability, availability, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows. See also our Disclaimer.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Programonic and the people who contribute to it are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, or business, arising from your use of or inability to use the site, or from reliance on its content or tools. Because the site is free, our total liability for any claim is limited to the extent the law permits. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, and you may have rights under consumer law that these terms do not affect.
Suspension and termination
We may restrict or block your access to all or part of the site at any time, without notice, if we believe you have broken these terms or put the site or others at risk. You may stop using the site whenever you like. Sections that by their nature should continue to apply, such as those on intellectual property, disclaimers, and liability, will continue after you stop.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version. Changes apply from the date they are posted, and continuing to use the site afterwards means you accept them.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws that apply where Programonic’s operator is based, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except that mandatory consumer-protection laws of the country where you live still apply to you. If you have a concern, please contact us first at contact@programonic.com so we can try to resolve it informally before any formal step is taken.
